If books are your bag, then this is your tote bag.
When considering that Americans throw away 100 billion plastic bags a year, (recycling less than 1 percent of them) and cities around the world, including our own San Francisco, are banning plastic bags, we decided to come up with a fun, functional alternative.
Chronicle’s limited edition tote bag is constructed with recyclable material, and features über cool book-inspired artwork by Jason Munn of The Small Stakes.
Jason, the illustrator for Chronicle’s Music to Check Out journal, lives in Oakland, and creates striking, thoughtful designs for posters, book covers, t-shirts, and more.
