Chronicle Craft: Wee Birdy & Baby Ike
The lovely ladies of Hello Lucky tipped us off to this great review and use of their book, Handmade Hellos by crafting maven Wee Birdy. While guest blogging over on Oola Moola, Wee Birdy took the challenge of making a one-year supply of greeting cards for only £20! We love her versions of the Owl-y Friend card by Petra Boase and the Paper Portrait card by La Familia Green (instructions for both in Handmade Hellos). So inspiring!
In the spirit of one of our new release Change the World for Ten Bucks we’re wondering if you’re working on any charitable crafting projects? If so we’d love share them with our readers. Maybe you’ve heard of baby Ike, the son of Haiku Mama author Kari Anne Roy. You can read about Baby Ike’s story here. There is currently a silent auction happening to raise money for Ike, and there are some beautiful things up for bid. Thanks to Average Jane Crafter for keeping us updated through her blog, I too love this pretty purse knit from old plastic bags. The auction will be open until April 29th, and all proceeds will go to Ike’s medical bills.
