It maintains it's own vitality. It can pump without outside influence. Its the only organ that when you feel it you associate it with great things: eg excitement, love. And I can def say if one is lucky enough to get the chance to see it they will be in awe of how amazing of a structure it truly is. As a side note: I work on a pediatric transplant unit and everyone especially the kids, LOVE your mechandise. You have no idea the effects you have had on these kids! Thank you for those days of broken hearts and spirits that lead to the mending of their's. My favorite organ is the heart for so many reasons. It maintains it’s own vitality.
