Paper Goods: Tiny Triptych Journals
Susie Ghahremani has been described by Chronicle Books’ editor Jason Sacher as “our favorite painter of cute owls, lonesome tricycles, and inquisitive octopi.” Her artwork combines her love of nature, animals, music and patterns. We fell in love with Susie’s wonderful illustration style when we worked with her to illustrate My Family, My Journey: A Baby Book for Adoptive Families way back in 2007.
Since then she’s designed a lovely line of stationery products—the most recent piece released last month:
Land + Air + Water: Triptych Journal Collection features an assortment of cuddly bears, curious octopi and cute-as-a-hoot owls in 3 mini-notebooks (4” x 5.5”) that are stored in a stylishly silkscreened, toteable carrying case. It’s the perfect gift for journalers everywhere.
Other stationery by Susie include:
Born and raised in Chicago, Susie now happily spends her time painting, drawing, crafting and tending to her pet finches and cat in San Diego. You can check out her online home, boygirlparty.com, where you can browse through loads of cool Susie stuff, from one-of-a-kind handmade items to T-shirts and magnets to postcards and tote bags.
We’ll have two more pieces by Susie coming out this fall. Be on the look out for:
