I hadn’t seen either of the first 2 Toy Story movies when I saw a preview of the 3rd at Pixar a few weekends ago. I was thoroughly entertained.

Buzz Lightyear all the way. <3 I've been a huge fan of all three movies, as they came out in my childhood (and then this one as I'm going off to college, haha, deja vu there.). I do remember being obsessed with his own spin-off TV series, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
TS3 was amazing – even more so than the other two movies which is quite a feat. I saw a lot of references to the Brave Little Toaster, another one of my favorite kids' movies.

Gotta say, I still go with Woody as my sentimental favorite, even though he sometimes has his flaws in judgment and I'm a huge fan of Buzz because, let's face it, he's a cool toy. Woody just represents everything I would want my toy to be – caring, sensitive, heroic and a true pal. I also sometimes think I should have been a kid of the 50s, rather than the 60s and 70s.

Fav character: Buzz en espanol. Almost feel bad for the guy as the running gig is his newness/resetting in TS series (ok, for TS2, it's the twin), but he's so hysterical and suave (finally!) toward Jessie. Even my Spanish-speaking boyfriend got a huge kick!

My favorite Toy Story character has to be Buzz. I like how his personality evolves and de-evolves as the series progresses. Being delusional then accepting his fate as a toy in the first movie, being a full blown hero in the second, and being both in the third one. But in all three he is a great guy that is truly amazing and cares for everyone. In fact, when compared to Woody he isn't that selfish or arrogant, he basically loves being a space ranger.

I had a look inside this book and i must say its really a nice book for animators. Pixar describes how their inspiration came from and how each characters are formed.

Honorable mentions include: Emperor Zurg, the Green Army Men, Roller Bob (from Sid's Room), Chunk, and Twitch.
My only regret from TS3 would be that I wish Twitch and Chunk had larger roles, but alas, the movie was perfection anyway.

My favorite character is Woody! He makes retro cool again. Loyal to Andy, goes all out for those he is a friend to, and after Buzz more open-minded in many areas, like changing times and new friends.

It's so hard to choose, but I might have to say Jessie. Her back story gives her so much character, and she's just fun to watch.
I think it might be Barbie; it shows how classy pixar is in creating character personalities that they didn't just make her a vapid blonde bimbo as would be easy to do.

I'm fond of all of them, but I think I especially love Jessie. Blessed as she is with equal helpings of strength and vulnerability, she seems like a fully developed, believable personality. Her design is button cute too, and Joan Cusack's voice performance just knocks this one out of the park.

I love Chuckles. Bud Luckey did a great job giving him such a dark, depressed voice.
My favourite character has always been Woody. He’s touchingly loyal and smart, but the people at Pixar weren’t afraid to give him some flaws, which make him feel more real. I think it’s the presence of Woody that takes the Toy Story movies above and beyond exceptional kids’ fare and into the realm of beautiful metaphors.

Mr Potatoe head made me laugh out loud everytime when i watched the Toy Story movies in the cinemas..He's got that wise guy sense of humor about him and the funniness doubled when his wife stepped in the scene. Just when i thought they couldnt do any more 'Mr. Potatoe head body parts falling off' gags they suprised me with his versatility in ToyStory3!

Just watched Toy Story, for the first time, 15 years after it appeared on the screens (just finished it a few minutes ago, yeah, that's right)… I'm surprised that there are not so many people who like SLINKY DOG (my favorite !). Between him and Sid's dog, Scud, how can you not see that this movie is actually about DOGS ? :D
