I could tell you how over the moon we are to be shipping our first titles with legendary color authority PANTONE this week. Or, I could show you:

First, we have a box of 100 Postcards.

Every card is a different brilliant PANTONE color.

And the postcard box is also being published in Spanish, French, and German. I love seeing them all lined up together like this!

Next up we have two flexi journals—one featuring PANTONE’s 2011 Color of the Year, Honeysuckle (PANTONE 18-2120), and one with a multichip design. Both are completely awesome.

How much do we love Honeysuckle? So much that coworker and baker extraordinaire Patti Quill made this PANTONE cake to celebrate the kick off our spring publishing season!

Still doubting our collective devotion to all things PANTONE? How about some shots from around our office—like this recent meeting of our Art + Design group where we were all using the mugs our friends at PANTONE so kindly sent us?

Or these folks, who’ve decorated their workspaces with press sheets from the making of the postcard box?

I especially love that in this picture you can glimpse the cover proof for our big PANTONE book (coming out in the fall, get ready!) sitting on my Managing Editor’s desk ready to be proofread.

And, if you just can’t wait to get out to the store—or for the time it will take the copies of the postcards and journals you ordered to get to you—if you want your PANTONE gratification now, you can go here to download six most excellent colors of Pantone desktop wallpapers (via How About Orange).

And if you want to see an even greater panoply of PANTONE wonderfulness (including the ever popular PANTONE CHIP cookies), former beloved CB blogger Christina Loff has created a wiki devoted to all things PANTONE. Be sure to check it out: they’re going to have a contest on June 20th where you can win a set of all 3 Chronicle PANTONE titles (2 journals plus the postcard box).

Every art director/designer on the planet should have a Pantone journal! Print it and they will come. Bravo, can't wait to get my own—and I'm a writer, for Pete's sake.

Hi. Could you tell me if those journals are, like, notebooks? Squared? Ruled?
    Thankyou
