It’s getting close to that time of year again! The night where you can get all gussied up for a date or, in my case, eat every chocolate item I can get my hands on while watching a cliche love story and laughing incessantly with my roommates. Though I have a boyfriend, February 14th is still a day that reminds me of all the love I have for the wonderful friends in my life.
Being the publicist for our stationery products here at Chronicle gives me quite the head start on surprising people with tokens of my affection. While I miss the days when a crush would stuff my locker with a cute handmade valentine, these sweet notes do the trick!
I created a card for each of my roommates to match their distinctive personalities. My free spirited roommate Valentina (perfect name to get in the Valentine’s Day mood!) received a package of adorable die-cut kitten You and Me Notecards.

I surprised my roommate Alexandra, the classic romantic, with Flowers For You Notecards on her pillow (the only kind of flower I can keep alive is a paper one).

Gabrielle, my explorer and adventure seeking glamour girl, got to discover a mini package from The World’s Smallest Post Service. Hide these all over the house for a sweet surprise (the kit even comes with mini letters!).

Who are you planning on sending your love to this year? Leave a comment and you will be entered to win a prize pack of sweet stationery to write to your friends, family, and loved ones.
Pack Includes: The World’s Smallest Post Service, Flowers For You Notecards, You and Me Notecards, Our Love is Here to Stay, and This is For You.

My husband and son! :)
Last weekend I made a rubber block print and printed small valentines for all my friends from college, many of who I haven't seen in a couple years. While we've remained connected via blogs, email, and facebook, it's nice to receive physical, handmade or handwritten something in the mail. I think there's nothing better than getting something in the mail, so I try to send a few postcards, cards, and letters throughout the year.

In Latin America, Valentine’s Day is widely known as “El Dia de el Amor y la Amistad,” which means “The Day of Love and Friendship.” I have always sent Valentines to a long list of friends to let them know how much I love them all. Because of Letter Month, I’m expanding my list this year to include co-workers too!
