Today’s guest blogger is Donna Kim, the social media manager at Brides Magazine, on-air style commentator, and the founder of the motivation and beauty website, DonnaDaily.com. With her wide range of expertise, she shares her favorite wedding books for Chronicle Books Wedding Week. Thanks Donna!
Being a part of the bridal industry has been very fun and inspiring. At my job, I get to read tear-jerking engagement proposals, pin the most breathtaking photos from real weddings, and find sweet gift ideas for everyone involved during the wedding process. A gift for your bride-to-be friend should first and foremost be thoughtful and sentimental. Here are some of my favorite books that I think would be a perfect fit:
Fortune-Telling Book for Brides is a refreshing book that unveils the meaning of certain parts of your wedding ceremony. This is such a fantastic gift idea for an engagement party or a bridal shower and is filled with inspiration and helpful info.
The Story of Us: Save sentimental moments of your newfound marriage by journaling all of the important memories with your loved one. This has everything laid out for you beautifully so you can throw in photos and written thoughts effortlessly.
Getting Groomed: The Ultimate Wedding Planner for Gay Grooms: I personally know a lot of gay couples getting ready to tie the knot and this book is the most helpful and thoughtful gift for the newly engaged. It has everything from planning worksheets to helpful guides to organize your day.
Bride & Groom I Owe You: This is so adorable! Any time you’re in a lull from wedding planning or just in general, gifting your significant other a fun voucher to alleviate pangs of anxiety is the most considerate gift.
