These cards are the best thing I have found as a casual note writer. They are attention getters and the box they come in is totally functional. I would like to be able to order additional envelopes and cards to put in the box...they are just the right size to say thank you to that special friend, especially one who likes books. I am planning to give these for Christmas gifts to my close friends and some business associates because they tie literacy and hand writing together physically instead of electronically. Some one has really used their intellect to come up with these.

I bought this at my local independent bookstore. They had just received it and it was shrink-wrapped so they were not sure exactly what it was-so we opened it. And I purchased it immediately. One of my small, personal goals was to send a letter or note to family and friends rather than relying on an impersonal email. I immediately found 3 cards that were perfect for 3 close friends who were English majors with me in college a long time ago (we graduated in 1979). I had taken a course on Virginia Wolfe with one friend so shot her a quick note on the back of one of her books. Another friend got "War and Peace" (we had struggled through that course together). My 85-year-old father got "Treasure Island" which was the first book he read aloud to me and my sister when we were under 5 years of age but he was tired of Dr. Seuss. It is just such a unique way to send a brief note to a friend. Everyone who received one was thrilled. The bookstore ended up ordering a dozen more. It's a small store but they sold quickly. What a clever idea and a great gift or something to buy for yourself.
