Travels with Charlie: Way Out West -- Get ready for a trip through the western United States with Charlie, the adventurous pup with a passion for geography! Traveling with Charlie, you'll learn the answers to questions such as:

- How many people cross the Hoover Dam each day?
- When was the first potato planted in Idaho?
- What is Alaska’s state nickname?
And lots more!

Maps of each state are brightly colored with retro illustrations that will keep young readers entertained for hours. Don't forget to look for Charlie, carefully hidden on each map, before turning the page to find out where Charlie's going next!

Miles Backer hates to travel. But from the comfort of his armchair in Topeka, Kansas, he has become a virtual world traveler, having amassed a collection of over six hundred travel brochures and atlases. The inspiration for this book came from his extensive set of vintage dish towels featuring all the states he has never visited.

Chuck Nitzberg has lived and worked in New York City since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1975. He enjoys vintage music and traveling, particularly to the beach! This is Chuck's first foray into the world of children's books.
