Reviews
"Barrows displays a keen sense of what constitutes second-grade humor; readers will be snickering in glee over Ivy and Bean's antics. Barrows provides the humorous banter while Blackall's pencil sketches do a fine job of capturing the comical overtones of the girl's activities. This strong follow-up to Ivy and Bean is bound to please fans." –Kirkus Reviews

Fun and exciting. I recommend this book for a 21st century, second grade read.

Ivy Bean and the Ghost That Had to Go

I rated this book four stars because it is a cliff-hanger! I like the part when Ivy and Bean make the oath. That chapter is called "The Oath of Liquids." Another part I like is when Ivy and Bean flush their presents for the ghost down the toilet, and then the toilet overflows and the water gets the teacher high heeled red shoes dirty and wet. Annie Barrows is a very good author, and the illustrations, by Sophie Blackall, were great too.
