The Uglydolls were born in 2001 when overseas correspondence between the two progressed from David's line drawings of a little orange, apron-wearing character named Wage, to Sun-Min's 3-D versions. David, Sun-Min, and the Uglydolls family (now over 10 characters) have been featured on CNN, the Today Show, The New York Times, In Style, and in store windows around the world.
