The D.I.Y. book is easily one of the most inspiring books of 2007. If you have even the smallest self-promotion need, get it. If you just want to get together with some friends, gather up some materials and have a group "create-in," grab this deck - portable simple, straight-forward step-by-steps. On a side note, if you're looking for kid projects, many of these are super kid-friendly and others can easily be adapted for kids.
