What a great book! Matthew Mead doesn't forget the poor frazzled non-baker parent, but he doesn't leave you with the cool-enough-but-already-been-done Jello cake, either. If someone in your family's been through the birthday cake relay before, there's ideas that will more than show off their skillz, as well. A veteran of Country Home and a few of his own holiday idea books, Matthew Mead proves once again that he really thinks about his readers. I think you'll agree.
