In this day of "pre-made" everything it is wonderful to see a cook book that gets back to the basics, but with a modern twist - super cute silicon cups!! This book is full of sensible, basic and yummy recipes that children can build from - nutritionally based and easy to make! The silicon cups (in a rainbow of colors) are half the fun! Not to mention that they are easy to clean and care for. It is such fun to watch my children develop a love for cooking and fresh food. It is my go-to gift for all occasions!

cook it in a cup

2008-04-15 | 4:32 PM | Dick Tetzlaff
My wife bought the cook it in a cup for the grandchildren and her to use. I saw the egg recipe in the book and decided to make it. The eggs were cooked in the microwave in the time stated in the book and the eggs turned out great.I went to clean out the cup and the egg stuck to the silicone so hard that I had to use a scrub brush to clean it out even though I had soaked it in hot soapy water for several minutes. Later that day my wife with the help of the grandchildren made the lemon bar recipe, that stuck in the silicon cups so bad when she took them out they didn't look real appatizing, but they sure tasted good. Just though I'd let you know. Thanks Dick.
