so cute that it hurts a little

My friends, their boyfriends, and I tried to finish a kittenwar game several times. It’s like that card game War (the directions provide several different game versions) which means, obviously, that it is incredibly easy. That’s not the issue. The problem with completing a kittenwar round is that the kittens themselves are so heartbreakingly lovable that the original game dissolves into oohhing & ahhhing over the kittens, comparing cards, and bickering over whether or not the “cute score” is accurate. Yes, even the boyfriends defended their personal kitten champions (until they suddenly realized what we were all arguing about and left the room for a while). It’s a goofy, fun little game and just right for gatherings with kitten lovers or secret kitten lovers.
