Embroidered Effects -- Embroidery empress Jenny Hart taught her legion of fans the basics with the best-selling Stitch-It Kit and Sublime Stitching. Now she takes stitchers one step further with instructions and diagrams for more than 35 stitches, some published here for the first time. To top it off, Embroidered Effects includes dozens of original (and reusable) iron-on transfers. With lots of project photos for guidance, even beginners can learn how to stitch faux tattoos on their shirt sleeves, cheeky fan dancers on their shower curtains, and many more fun projects.

Jenny Hart is the artist behind the global business Sublime Stitching. Her work has appeared in Real Simple, Lucky, ReadyMade, Craft, and more. Jenny lives in Austin, Texas, where she is a member of the Austin Craft Mafia.

Aimée Herring is a New York-based photographer.

The Must Have

Hey, this book is just what I wanted! It's really great, parts might be a tad overwhelming for beginners but I doubt it. All the extra stitches are a treasure and it's nice to have a bunch of new designs this time. Since I got this book I've been going back over some old embroideries and fancying them up a bit.
