Chronicle Books publishes approximately 175 books a year. We specialize in high-quality, reasonably priced books for adults and children. Out titles include best-selling cookbooks; fine art, design, photography, and architecture titles; full-color nature books; award-winning poetry and literary fiction; regional and international travel guides; and gift & stationery items.

If you are interested in being considered for contract design, illustration, or photography work on our projects, please send your printed portfolio in for one of our monthly portfolio reviews.

Portfolio Review generally takes place on the 3rd Monday of each month. This review is a great opportunity for our in-house designers and art directors to review new work for consideration on a variety of projects. Please arrange to have your work here by noon on Monday. If you are dropping off a portfolio at the front desk, it will be ready for pick up on Tuesday. If you are sending work that you wish to be returned, please include a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope), FedEx number/packing slip, or UPS packing slip. If you send original art please understand that you do this at your own risk, as we accept no liability for unsolicited materials lost or damaged in transit, or on our premises.
