Author Sarah O'Leary Burningham was 16 when she realized how clueless her parents were. That's when she first came up with the idea for How to Raise Your Parents. Years later, Sarah is still a teenager at heart. She loves the O.C., a good door slam, and stealing her sisters' clothes. Sarah currently works in book publishing and lives in New York City with her husband, Grant. One day, she hopes to open The O'Leary School & Training Center for Parents of Teens. She's still working on it.

Kelly Campbell Hinshaw has worked in museum education for over fifteen years at the De Young Museum, the Palace of the Legion of Honor and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She currently teaches art at the Playgroup, a preschool in San Francisco. She lives in Berkeley, California with her husband and their three sons.

R. Gregory Christie received a BFA in media arts from New York City's School of Visual Arts in 1993. While attending SVA, he had a position at the Guggenheim Museum, and interned for the Newark Star Ledger newspaper, where his first published work was showcased, in 1990. The illustrator of many biographies and picture books, Christie is a regular contributor to the New Yorker Magazine. He continues to paint album covers, travels internationally in order to produce live paintings at various events, and generates work for magazines and publishing companies in his Brooklyn studio.

When not writing books for children, Diana works as the Managing Director of a national foundation based in Sausalito, CA that supports organizations working on environmental and social justice issues. She has had extensive experience working in education both as a classroom teacher and as a teacher trainer. She holds a B.A. in Human Ecology from the College of the Atlantic, and a M.A. in Educational Policy from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a hobbyist beekeeper and has researched and written on indigenous beekeeping practices for The American Bee Journal. She is an award-winning children's book author. Dream Carver was her first children's book. She currently lives in Northern California.
