Meet Sylvia Long
Mother Goose: Artist's Note
www.sylvia-long.com
Sylvia Long originally planned to be a veterinarian, but when she received a full scholarship to Maryland Institute of Art, it seemed a perfect fit. After receiving a BFA in 1970, Ms. Long exhibited her work in galleries and museums in the West for nearly twenty years. It wasn't until 1990 that she discovered what she has loved doing ever since—illustrating children's books. Ms. Long is a mother to two sons and a grandmother to two little girls: Sophie Grace and Helena Marion. She lives in Arizona.
