CAR GOBBLER and MAP MEMORY

When traveling by car, Car Gobbler is a fun way to pass the time:

Each person in the car picks a color and a side of the road. The goal is to count more cars of your color than the other passengers count of their color. If a car that is the color someone else is counting, passes on YOUR side, you lose all your cars (points) and you have to start from zero. See who can get up to one hundred cars first.

When traveling by plane, Map Memory is good way to build your geography knowledge.

Find the map in the in-flight magazine. Look at it for a while and try to remember where each city is. When you are ready, have another person cover one of the cities while you identify which city it is. Can you remember two cities? Five? How about ten?!
