Bind off, fold in half, and seam two halves together. Or use three-needle bind off to join.

Finishing:
Sew sleeves in place and sew sleeve seams. Keep in mind that the roll on the cuff means that the wrong side of the cuff will be the part that shows. Seam that part on the wrong side then switch to seaming on the right side.

Space snaps evenly along button band area with the top snap about 0.5 inches below beginning of hood. Sew into place.

Cut a piece of contrast color 12 feet long. Thread onto darning needle and, using
yarn doubled, trim the edge of the button band and hood with whipstitching. Starting at the left front just above the border stripe pattern, insert the needle through the fabric from wrong side to right side 0.25 in from the edge, bring the yarn around the edge to the wrong side and bring the needle up through the fabric 2 ridges further up. Continue until you reach the stripe border on the right front.
