Limit: one entry per person. Each entry will be automatically entered to win the grand prize. Follow all instructions posted on this web site.

3. Sweepstakes Prizes:
Grand Prize: The grand prize will be the following items: One (1) gift card from Pottery Barn Kids, one (1) set featuring one of each item in Method Home's product line (may fluctuate based on availability), one hundred (100) free product coupons for Green Giant frozen vegetable products, and autographed copies of Little Pea, Little Hoot, and Little Oink. Total approximate retail value: $3,000.00.
Runner Up Prizes:
Two (2) runners-up will receive one (1) Healthy Home Cleaning Kit from Method Home, $100 worth of Chronicle Books products (provided as a one-time-use promotion code on Chroniclebooks.com), and autographed copies of Little Pea, Little Hoot, and Little Oink. Total approximate retail value: $350.00.

No cash or other substitution, assignment or transfer of prizes permitted except by Sponsors, which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable or greater value.
4. Selection of winners: Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Random drawing will be conducted in October 2009 by Chronicle Books. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Winner may forfeit prize if Sponsors are unable to contact him or her within 7 days of first attempted notification. In such event, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of Sponsors, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize. No prize substitutions will be permitted, except Sponsors may substitute any prize with one of equal or greater retail value. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
5. Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents, 18 or older, of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia). Employees of the Sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families of each are not eligible to enter or win. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
6. Entrant's personal information: The Sponsors' respective Privacy Policies are amended so that by entering the Little Books Sweepstakes, the entrant agrees that entrant's personally identifiable information may be available to the Sponsors and, as a result, participant may receive e-newsletters and other marketing information from the Sponsors, subject to entrant's ability to opt-out as described in each Sponsor's Privacy Policy. Entrant's personally identifiable information will not be shared with any other third parties.
7. Publicity: Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsors and their respective agencies to use winner's name and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
8. General Conditions: Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsors' reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion. In such event, Sponsors reserve the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsors reserve the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil law, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsors' failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
9. Limitations of liability: By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold Sponsors and their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns harmless for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance of the prize. Sponsors are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize. In no event shall Sponsors, their affiliates and related companies, or their respective officers, directors, employees, or agents collectively herein, parties by liable for: (i) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (iv) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; (v) any injury, loss, claim, damage, or special, punitive, indirect, incidental or consequential damages or any kind (including, but not limited to lost profits or lost savings), whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, to persons or property, including, but not limited to, entrant's computer, hardware or software, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes or that arise out of or are in any way connected with the use, or the inability to use, the chroniclebooks.com/littlebooks website or the services or materials on the site, even if advised on the possibility of such damages. In no event shall the aggregate liability of the parties exceed the total charges set forth in the itinerary giving rise to such liability. 10. Disputes: Entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the courts of the state of California and the United States District Court or any courts successors thereto in respect of any controversy which may arise out of or in relation to this Agreement or its performance and each party hereby waives any objections to such jurisdiction and venue; and (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this promotion but in no event attorney's fees. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsors in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.
