print too light!!
10/11/11| Sherrill WeddleItI bought this for my husband who is a sudoku addict. The intermediate level puzzles are in black with light orange sqares, perfectly legible. The expert puzzles are almost invisible, light orange numbers with black sqares. I've had to trace over the numbers while under a bright light so he can do the puzzles.
I can think of no reason to do this. Expert doesn't refer to the difficulty of the puzzles but the difficulty of seeing them! -
The finest Sudoku book presentation I have ever used
10/11/11| Steven MashinThis series of compact (4"x6") ringed pad type books are unique & fantastic. The covers are hard cardboard & the pages are heavy white paper- strongly able to tolerate heavy erasure w/o bleeding through to the next page. The 1" ring is perfect to slip in & hold my mechanical pencil. The books pattern seems to slightly & progressively become more difficult throughout each book however NEVER at such a rate as to "flip me out". I have to say this series of books ARE my friends- and anything less in ANY degree is way less than satisfactory. -
Obsessed with sudoku!
10/11/11| Margaret SmithermanI've been obsessed with sudoku for nearly two years. I do the daily one in the newspaper plus MANY books on cheap thin paper. Sometimes my pencil goes through the paper. Chronicle Books has truly come up with winners. Heavy slick paper. The thing I like most is the size which I can hold in one hand. The thickness is like writing on a table. I received the Chronicle sudoku tablets for Christmas, and on Christmas Day I stayed in my nightie til 5:30 pm working 37 intermediate puzzles from one of your four books. These are the best sudoku books I've ever seen!
