    cupcakes ahoy!

    One of the Chronicle designers discovered that I was fond of cupcakes and surprised me with the Cupcake Deck my first month of working here. Well, this deck is just as sweet and wonderful as anything. The recipes are delicious (try the Hummingbird cupcakes – a classic) and the cards are perfect for propping up on the counter as you sift, stir, and bake your way to sugary fulfillment. It's nice not to have to worry about keeping your place while darting around the kitchen. Best of all, every recipe has a delectable photo of future cupcake results which is just plain neat.
