Madhur Jaffrey is an international culinary expert who has hosted three television series-Indian Cookery, Far Eastern Cookery, and Flavors of lndia-and written several well known cookbooks, including An Invitation to Indian Cooking, Madbur Jaffreys World-of the East Vegetarian Cooking, A Taste of India, and A Taste of the Far East, which won the 1994 James Beard Award for Best Cookbook. She lives in New York City.

Philip Salaverry is a San Francisco-based photographer who specializes in still-life and food photography.
