Obsessed with Baseball
10/11/11| Robert WainscottThis was a fantastic book! Someone finally published a baseball trivia book just for me! I'm a nut for trivia, especially when it comes to our national pastime. I couldn't put this book down for at least a week. I thought it was real simple to operate and the questions were sufficiently difficult, depending on the chapter. ( I nailed about 9 out of 10 through the first 3 chapters.) Such an immense amount of knowledge contained within this book though that it would take years to remember all the answers. I'll definitely enjoy it for a long time. There is a couple of things I need to point out however. I found a wrong answer that was overlooked in the editing process. Question 128: "Which player has the highest single season batting average for a shortstop (.401)?" Now the computer says the answer is B, which is Luke Appling. the problem is that Appling never hit above .388 for an entire season, which he accomplished in 1936. The correct answer is C, which is Hughie Jennings. Jennings hit .401 in 1896. -

10/11/11| Len WeaverI love this book. I believe the answer to question #2381, however, is incorrect. The question is "What is the nickname for a relief pitcher?". The computer says the answer is D. "Nails". I believe the correct answer is C. "Fireman".
