Whoopie Pies8/13/14| RichardGreat little book. I made the Classic Chocolate Whoopie with the Classic Marshmallow filling. Delicious! But can you tell me why my cakes were flat and not rounded? I'm used to puffy whoopee pie cakes.

New Flavor8/13/13| LeviI really like this book! I make then for my friends and they love them! I'm a really big peanut butter fan so I made the vanilla whoopie with the peanut butter filling and add my Favorite kind of jelly!!! It is like the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich I have ever had!!

Greetings from Germany!12/3/11| ChristinaHi, I´m from Germany and my friend is for one year in Scotland. She had send me this book, because I love it to bake! I was really pleased about it and today it has proven! The form is a bit failed, but the taste is unsurpassable! It is really delicious and the recipes are easy!

Question with recipe10/11/11| Carol PedersonJJust got the cookbook and have made two "varieties" today. Question about the peanut butter filling: recipe says 3/4 c (6 tablespoons) butter....but 6 tablespoons it only 3/8 cup. So what is it - 3/8 or 3/4? Anyone have an answer. AND I am anxious to try the Spumoni Whoopie! (Thanks, KL)Making a variety tray for Thanksgiving. Figure there will be something for veryone!
Makin' Whoopie10/11/11| Mary TalalayLet's face it - this has been one long and snowy winter, the economy is straining, and everyone is maxed out on being maxed out.
Let me introduce you to my new BFF, Whoopie Pie. Whoopie, reader...reader, Whoopie. Is Whoopie going to bring on spring or put more cash in your sorry little wallet? No. But, Whoopie Pies, particularly those created by Amy and Sarah, will put a bounce in your step, a smile on your face, and a song in your heart.
Author Amy Treadwell told me a little secret (I want you to keep this just between you, me and the internet) that her favorite Whoopie Pie is the S'mores. Thwarted but not deterred by the lack of graham flour on my local store's shelves, I opted to make the classic Whoopie Pie with marshmallow filling (pg 43 + pg 76).
And, you can still maintain your frugalista (whoopie pie ingredients are not pricey - no truffle oil here), environmentally-huggy (nothing to recycle or compost because these little pies from heaven will be gone in seconds flat), and I can't think of a 3rd thing. But, well, let's just say if you buy this book, add on the cost of a new pair of walking shoes to the tab to counterbalance the surge of sugar.
The book is fun to read, has great photos and illustrations and would make a great gift.
Now, is it pronounced Ay-mish or Ah-mish?
Long overdue10/11/11| Kristina LeeI am so excited about this book. I am an avid baker, and have high standards for buying a cookbook. I mean, if you think you might try only 25% of the recipes inside, it's hardly worth it---I usually just print them off the internet.
But as Bust Magazine put it, "Whoopie pies are totes the new cupcake." I can't wait to start baking them!
Originally, I was going to try to do spumoni cupcakes for my daughter's birthday this summer, but now I am totally going to Whoopie out! Plus, instead of experimenting with huge batches that may or may not work, I have all the recipe parts included in the book. Spumoni Whoopie: 1/2 batch lemon whoopie, 1/2 batch pistachio whoopie (no cardamom) and strawberry buttercream! Can't wait to taste them! Thank you for such a cool cookbook!
