Chronicle Books Bakesale for Japan
Those of us who live along the Pacific Ring of Fire understand the risk, but it’s difficult to imagine a catastrophic event when you’re living amongst some of the greatest natural beauty on earth.
On March 11th, Japan’s Tohoku Region was struck by the largest earthquake in recorded Japanese history. The resulting tsunami caused thousands of injuries and casualties, plus billions of dollars worth of damage. As both numbers continue to climb, our hearts go out to our brothers and sisters; neighbors in the Pacific Ocean.
If you are a Bay Area neighbor, we’d love to see your face at the Chronicle Books lobby store on Monday, March 21st for a fundraising bake sale. The sale will go from 11-2, and all proceeds will benefit the Japanese Red Cross’ efforts.
Chronicle Books will also be matching 100% of proceeds and donations, so please come show your support!
Hope to see you there.
