Eight Days of Plastiki

To save our oceans, adventurer David de Rothschild sailed from San Francisco to Sydney on the Plastiki, a 60-foot catamaran made out of 12,500 plastic bottles.

His book, Plastiki: Across the Pacific on Plastic, An Adventure to Save Our Oceans, is full of ways that you can help to save the ocean. So, in preparation for Earth Day on April 22, we’ll be tweeting daily tips from the book starting tomorrow.

Join us for Eight Days of Plastiki! Just follow @ChronicleBooks or @Plastiki on Twitter and retweet the daily tip with the hashtag #plastiki. Bonus: By doing so, you’ll be entered for a chance to win one of two Plastiki prize packs, which include a copy of Plastiki, a Klean Kanteen water bottle, a Plastiki model building kit and a pair of Revo sunglasses.
