Lift Off! Read With The San Francisco Public Library

We couldn’t be more excited to help promote the San Francisco Public Library’s Summer Reading Program 2014. Shane Prigmore, the illustrator of Planet Kindergarten, created original San Francisco themed artwork that’s being splashed around the city. Take a look:

Here being used at every library branch:

And soon, San Francisco will be filled with people walking around with these tote bags. Participants who finish the program will receive one as a prize!

With the long summer days in full swing, this is the perfect time to get out and explore the neighborhood. Exploring can mean anything from taking a music lesson to walking through a new neighborhood to reading a book about your city! My goal is to explore all the different outdoor stairways San Francisco has to offer. I’ve always been fascinated by how some hills are so steep that they can only be scaled by a set of stairs built into the sidewalk.

We’re giving away a SFPL Summer Reading 2014 Tote Bag and a signed copy of Planet Kindergarten to three lucky commenters. Leave a comment below saying what you plan to explore this summer!
