Cookbook Blog Tour: Shelly Westerhausen’s Vegetarian Heartland
Vegetarian cooking has undergone a renaissance in the last decade—however, the perception still exists that eating a vegetarian diet is much more doable on the coasts, where seasonal produce seems constantly abundant. Until now. Vegetarian Ventures blogger and author Shelly Westerhausen sought to tackle this misconception, and now has a forthcoming cookbook: Vegetarian Heartland.
This beautiful and bountiful cookbook focuses on meat-free comfort food, with over a hundred recipes drawing from Shelly’s Midwest roots. The recipes are paired with adventures revolving around food, from portable road trip snacks to campfire cooking. Complete with tips on how to stock a vegetarian pantry, this cookbook brings to life how doable and delicious a vegetarian lifestyle is, no matter where you live.
