Chronicle Books has an opening for a dynamic Sales Assistant. The person in this role will provide efficient day-to-day administrative and project support to Account Managers and the Sales department. They will ensure efficient order processing, liaise with key accounts, prepare PowerPoint presentations and Excel documents, and help prepare for sales conferences. Researching new leads, coordinating sales materials, transmitting image files, and interacting with inter-company contacts will also be part of this position.

Candidates will need a minimum of 1-2 years in an equivalent role, clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, a sharp attention to detail, strong time-management abilities, and the aptitude to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. Strong candidates have a deep passion for books and publishing as well as a desire to provide exceptional task support. Customer service, retail experience, advanced Outlook/Excel/ PowerPoint/Word skills and Salesforce.com and/or Adobe Creative Suite experience is also highly preferred.
