Sales Manager, Special Markets
Chronicle Books is excited to announce an opening for a Sales Manager with proven sales experience, a track record of success, and the ability to develop new business. The Sales Manager will have full responsibility of key account management, and they will grow our business while managing day-to-day business, terms, and other account specific promotions. The Sales Manager will drive the growth of Chronicle Books and our distribution clients’ sales in the specialty channel.
The person in this role will track sales, work with all divisions of accounts, create exclusive products with custom publishing, control expenses, and communicate changes in the marketplace to enable the company to offer competitive terms. Setting monthly account forecasts, curating frontlist and backlist titles, representing Chronicle Books at trade shows, and aggressively prospecting for new accounts will all be part of this position.
Successful candidates will have 3+ years of account management experience in the book or gift industry, a demonstrated success in managing and growing national account business, and they will demonstrate a proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Salesforce.
