Senior Marketing Manager
Chronicle Books is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager who will plan and execute marketing and publicity plans with the goal of increasing sales, marketplace visibility, and making Chronicle Books a leader in illustrated and narrative non-fiction publishing. This role will work closely with Chronicle Book’s editorial teams, publicity, and the Executive Director of Marketing and Ecommerce to develop the list, communicate with sales, and provide marketing expertise throughout the publication process. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience and ability in creating marketing and publicity strategies and plans that are executable, represent an astute use of resources and a good return on investment, and that build sales.
Candidates should have a 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience, a minimum 5 years of experience in trade book marketing, strong existing media relationships, and an ability to manage multiple projects while working independently. In addition, successful candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, effective public presentation abilities, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Air Table, and Muck Rack.
