Primary Job Responsibilities:


Departmental support for all of Trade Sales with a focus on:


  • Support Field Reps and Commission Rep groups with sales material coordination and support
  • Assist department director and senior staff with seasonal launch meetings Edelweiss management, creating collections, gathering samples, copying materials, and creating title spreadsheets as needed
  • Manage sales conferences including but not limited to set up, stock offers, presentations, materials and trade shows
  • Assist Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor and Ingram reps in sales trip preparation and follow-up for these key accounts, building PowerPoint presentations, eCat presentations, and PO management
  • Complete product setup spreadsheets and liaise with customer buyers and data managers
  • Prepare weekly sales reports, monitoring purchase orders and stock levels for key accounts
  • Execute regular mailings of advance book copies to customers
  • Monitor and manage inventory holds for customers
  • Track promotions, pull sales data, and build presentations when requested by sales managers
  • Provide ad-hoc support to sales managers by pulling together assets, samples, and data
  • Directly interface with buyers to make sure our customers receive quick and satisfactory help



  • MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word experience required
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Enthusiasm and positive attitude a must!
  • Minimum of two years in a work environment
  • Book experience and a desire to grow a career in publishing extremely helpful
