Richard Guy Wilson, AIA, holds the Commonwealth Professor’s Chair in Architectural History at the University of Virginia. A historian of architecture, design, and art in America and Europe, Mr. Wilson has published several books, notably The American Renaissance, 1876–1917, McKim, Mead & White, Architects, and the AIA GOLD Medal. David J. Neuman, FAIA, LEED AP, is the Architect for the University of Virginia, where he guides sustainability and land use planning, program planning, and design of capital projects for university-owned land and facilities, as well as stewardship and restoration of Thomas Jefferson’s Academical Village. His publications include Critical Architecture and Contemporary Culture, Stanford University: The Campus Guide, and Building Type Basics for Campus Planning and Campus Facilities.
