Chronicle Books is looking for a Reprint Assistant to join us as an essential part of the production effort for all backlist publishing. In this role, the Reprint Assistant will maintain the integrity of all reprint information, including costs, schedules, drop shipments, safety compliance documentation, and materials certification. They will create and track schedules for reprints, they will work with printers to ensure schedules are met, they will work in collaboration with the Reprint Manager, and they will handle the receipt and oversight of all reprint samples and advances. In addition, they will provide updated purchase orders to printers for reprints, and they will review and approve invoices in support of the AP department. This role also calls for working with Designers and Managing Editors to generate reprint corrections and making sure they are archived.
Applicants will need to have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly InDesign). Exceptional project/time management skills are needed, as is attention to detail, strong communication abilities and customer service acumen.
