Nancy Nevinskas is a retired elementary art teacher who lives in Rochester, New York. She was inspired to write If You Listen after observing her young students interact with the natural objects in her art room. She loves children's literature, her garden, her two kitties, and a husband who loves adventure! They enjoy exploring the Finger Lakes region of New York State while listening to the sounds of nature that surround them as they hike and bike.
Jax Chow is the illustrator of Tiny Garden, written by Deborah Underwood. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her partner and two children. When not painting and drawing, her favorite activity is hiking in a big, beautiful forest, where she and her family try to keep their eyes and ears open to all the wonders it offers.
