David Roth is an award-winning comedian and creative director whose work spans stand-up, film, advertising, and publishing. His first book, LOL 101: A Kid's Guide to Writing Jokes, won a 2023 Good Housekeeping Kids' Book Award, was named a 2024 ALA Notable Children's Book, and was featured on The Today Show. His music video “Interracial Couple In A Cheerios Ad” won awards at fifteen festivals worldwide, and he wrote and starred in The Fun In Funny, directed by Christine Lakin and produced by Fujifilm. He is also a cofounder of the event series Laugh Your Ads Off and has written two Super Bowl commercials.
Rinee Shah is an award-winning illustrator and advertising creative director. She has led creative work for Hatch, Oatly, and Spotify, and her illustrations have appeared in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and New York magazine. She was named to Ad Age's 40 Under 40 list in 2023, and she has served as a juror for the Communication Arts Illustration Annual. Her books include The Made-Up Words Project, Off: The Day the Internet Died, and LOL 101: A Kid's Guide to Writing Jokes. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and their dog, George, who considers himself the real creative director.
